link to see the segment online. At EW!SF, every week is volunteer week! This week the rest of the country joins in by celebrating National Volunteer Week. We invite you to join in the celebration by contacting us to find out how you can get involved as a Power Lunch volunteer for the 2010-11 school year. To learn more, email Julie Katz at julie@everybodywinssouthflorida.org. Power Lunch is a lunchtime literacy and mentoring program proven to improve reading skills and attitudes. Volunteers are paired with elementary school students and devote one lunch hour a week to the program. Reading pairs choose books and read together, then chat about what they have read. |
