| Dear Friends, In January, EVERYBODY WINS!, a nationally recognized literacy program, will be launching Power Lunch in South Florida. The mission of EVERYBODY WINS! South Florida is to instill a love of reading and learning in elementary school students, to improve children's literacy skills, and to foster increased self-esteem. Power Lunch is a lunchtime literacy and mentoring program proven to improve reading skills and attitudes. Volunteers are paired with a second or third grader at a nearby at-risk school and devote one lunch hour a week to reading aloud one-on-one with their child. EVERYBODY WINS! South Florida is counting on you to help us grow. We have begun partnering with companies to participate in Power Lunch during the 2007-08 school year.
